  • If Reality TV is the way to go...then this one

Love the idea of being able to watch local celeb's doing their thing on TV. ..but this show hits close to my heart. My dad was a car guy and if I was blessed to still have him here, he'd be calling me every Tuesday night asking me what I thought of each episode. If Danny ever does a show restoring a Chevy Chevelle, I might just lose it! Great show and I love it!! PS...did y'all know Danny can sing too? Oh YES he can!
  • Just another "Pawn Stars" spinoff

First, they had the famous RICK DALE who was a master at fixing things up to look brand new. Before PS, this guy just owned a restoration business with his trophy girlfriend, his son, and her son, and about 3 or 4 other nobody's that just occasionally get into the show itself. He calls his show "American Restoration" so I watch it and it's not too bad. Rick does fine work, and during the first season or so, they showed the pieces of each item they were featuring on the show, as they would break it down, sandblast (or should I say "nutshell" blast (since it's not as abrasive as sand). The show becomes successful, even without the Pawn Stars no longer using them as "experts" they call on to have something restored. Well, PS had a few different "car" guys that they consulted with, but finally seem to have picked DANNY as their "goto" guy who will underquote cars for them, and they, in return, will hopefully sucker the guy selling whatever car he has at a much lower price, so they can now take it to Danny to get fixed. I have to say, of all their consultants on that show, Danny is the one that really annoys me more than any of them (Know what I mean Brothah?) So apparently, here we go again. My first question is this - Does this dude have ANY other clothes that he can wear, or is his closet full of button up, wide collared shirts with their arms cut off, and blue jeans and that stupid looking headband thing he wears, with is glasses on pretty much all the time. My 2nd question is - Did you always have that annoying laugh or did you learn it from Rick Harrison? Everything is not that funny dude, chill out. Take a deep breath. Then, out comes the riff raff that work for him. One who seems to have some mental issues as he is called "Horny Mike", he loves devil like horns and puts them on everything. He even has a Danny style head wrap thing that he has added horns to. Really looks STUPID to me, with horns up the back of a leather vest. (Really dude?). Overall, this show MAY have SOME appeal, but nothing like American Restoration, Danny's ego and personality are very lacking in my opinion, and he, if his show gets popular by some miracle of God, will start his "Celebrity" status and won't be seen around his own shop except on "Filming days" in which they will clear out all interested onlookers and Danny will show up, do the show and leave like the Pawn Stars do. You can never see them in person hardly (good luck) and if you do, you will be part of a very small crowd that is in the background of some other dude/gal whose item they are going to feature on the show. After taping is done, they all leave, and those people who were waiting in hopes of seeing their favorite Pawn Star celebrity, which apparently is Chumlee, and thats only because he is so dumb, even when he stupid in the things that he says, many young people can relate (as shown by the young people's vote in 2008 for a guy they had no CLUE about, but boy was he COOL huh?) Right now, based on only the first episode (that features the Pawn Star guys oddly enough), but I give it 3 stars for now. I will watch a few more, but this one, I am not sure about. I also wonder what is next, maybe "Museum Stars" or "American Museum curators" where the History buff fellow who always comes when Rick Harrison calls him, and is the curator of the "Clarke County Museum", wouldn't that be THRILLING? lol....I doubt it. This show is lucky to get 3 stars....I feel I was about 1 or 2 stars off, but we will see.
