Steve Jobs: The Man In the Machine

I cannot say anything new revealed here. Also, towards the end especially, it tries to paint a negative picture, such as what happened with Gizmodo, when the truth was they had stolen property and were playing games about it. The people interviewed, such as the mother of Lisa Brennan-Jobs, perhaps relevant, and a former employee who felt he gave too much to Apple ( it's been 40 years and you need a therapist) and from a certain point of view both are truly exploited by the filmmaker. No Tim Cook, Jony Ive, Laurene Powell, etc. A couple of people of interest, but not truly compelling. I'm sorry, this is poorly done because they can't get to good sources and simply repeat well known histrionics. It's not a good piece of work. Once they realized they could not get 'A' candidates to interview , they should have cancelled the project. It's really that poorly done.

The media is so puzzled why Jobs had little respect for them and others alike. Jobs is loved by the people because we saw his human side, his imperfections, and his failures, yet despite it all he built a lasting company that empowers the lives of many. Unfortunate events that took place in places such as China should be acknowledged but to place the blame on Apple?? Please if the reporters are such saints why don't they do something to fix it. Steve made a dent in the universe, but can't be responsible for its entirety.

I have read the biography, and seen all the docs and movies and such. This movie was well done in my opinion. I felt it was accurate and very thought provoking. We can all learn something from watching this movie. I know I did.

give some depth to the life of Steve Jobs. But the director doesn’t understand why Steve seemed like a mean person… I think it is because when Steve gets bullied, then he feels the world is not good to him, so he wants to fight back. Otherwise, he does have a lot of love and care for the world. Just look at the care he put into the design of iPhone and iPad and Macbook Air, for the love of the world, and the love of his life.

why would you even want to see this I mean really come on

This isn’t a fluff piece about Apple. However, it is spot on. It shows the side of the company most people do not want to see. If you have blind love for Apple, pass on this movie. If you want to see the driven and somewhat destructive side of the company/Steve then you will find this interesting.

I won't waste my time in describing pure garbage

So disappointed. They simply took all the negative and magnified it. Never offered counter sides or how Steve grew or changed. Just people trying to make money from man who s unable to defend himself.

Just like every other documentary to come out about Jobs.
