Description

Carrie, a young, spiritual woman is abandoned by her missionary father and forced to move in with her mother and stepsister whose lifestyle conflicts with everything she’s come to believe in. In addition to this test on her values and convictions, Carrie believes the new house possesses evil paranormal forces. During one terrifying night after her mother leaves on a business trip, Carrie and her boyfriend conduct an exorcism to rid the house of its supernatural presence. But, instead of purging the spirit, they awaken an even more sinister terror that begins to haunt and torture them. Now, Carrie must confront savage forces to protect her little sister and her life...

Home is a film parent's should watch. Makes you want to go home (no pun intended) & hug your kids. The acting was really exceptional & the tense moments had everyone on their seats . What a twist.

This was a bizarre film to sit through. 1. The acting was good. 2. The digital FX was good. Makeup - not so much. 3. The concept was good. 4. The Soundtrack was good ( if not excellent - that's why I rated it a 3 instead of 1 ) 5. But the way it was all put together was a flop. And it's sorta disappointing, because the concept and the actors were great, but the directing killed it. 6. The need to make a point of the "infamous nonbeliever getting schooled by the believer"- is worn out. And frankly, condescending towards nonbelievers. I hope someone else grabs this and directs it, it has potential..

I really enjoyed this movie. Films follow a formula for a reason-- because they work. Nice cinematography and the make up was stellar. Heather Langenkamp and Samantha Mumba make a cute couple. Well done.
  • Rotten Tomatoes reviews are for Dreamwork’s Home.

First of, the Rotten Tomatoes reviews are for Dreamwork’s Home (2015), not this mess. This movie uses the old formula: new house, creepy guy that warns the new tenants, weird things start happening…Problem: this is not a scary movie, there’s not even one jump-scare. Poor acting and directing make you not care for the characters. Remember: the best of every movie is always in the trailer. Watch the trailer.
