If I hadn't read the book, I think I would be totally lost watching this movie. The dialogue is so clipped that you don't truly know anything or anyone but Paul. The scenery/cinematography is very well done - if you like the cartoon version of movies this is it with special effects! And it is sad that the writers/director wanted to be politically correct by substituting a black woman for a man as the imperial ecologist. And here it is 2024 and where are parts 2 and 3? (If the rest of the book is to be portrayed, this will be a three part movie). Are we ever going to see the rest of the movie?

This book to movie adaptation is beautifully made, the visuals are outstanding, the effects are groundbreaking, and the music from Hans Zimmer is EPIC. Looking forward to Part 2 coming out. Two thumbs up: 👍👍

Way better than the original which I have the Extended cut of even David Lynch hated his own movie!!!!!!

When newer movies change the characters, it takes away the author’s inspiration and meaning for the movie. The original was much better. Should have been one movie.

I'll admit I liked the first telling of Dune from the 80s, watched it and this one back to back. This one has better special effects but the Directing, Acting, Story Telling, and Casting of the 80s version was a better deal. Also, splitting it up into two movies makes it far longer and BORING, just shows the greed of the producrtion company that put this out.

Horrible casting choice on 75% of the cast. Too much was spent on cgi and it shows. Cgi is not even as good as how much it should be considering the software they used and the amount of money thrown at it.

It's not a bad film perse, but now I'm wondering when "Chapter 2: Muad Dib" is coming out?

Incredible visuals, tight story, respects the audience. Can’t wait for part 2.
