I did not expect this movie to be even close to as good as it was. This was very creepy. I actually gasped out loud at one part lol. I never do that. Genuinely confused on all negative reviews. Definitely worth a rent if not a buy. Will watch again 100%.

Why are boogeymen always white? How about some black or gay boogeymen? A little diversity folks!!! Maybe even a gay black boogeyman! Everyone knows most boogemen aren’t white!

As a fan of the short story, it does not deliver. As a casual observer, it’s serviceable. The ending in the story was chillingly perfect. The ending in the film left me wanting the ending from the story and it’s absence ruins the experience entirely.🤦🏾‍♂️ 👎🏾

I think viewers always expect a ground breaking original story or a twist ending, but truth is we don't get that often with horror movies. Is this movie predictable.. yes...but when its done effectively, why stray away from something that has proven to work? I think this one will slip under the radar of many due to its appearance of something we have all seen with previous titles. I honestly love that it took a folklore creature and made it almost sci fi.
  • Bad. Just bad

My children (7 and 4) really enjoyed this movie! They thought it was scary and had a satisfying ending. There isn’t any gore or profanity so parents can be assured the movie won’t traumatize your kids! Great monster flick!
