Description

Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy. Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert. When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

  • FILE DOES NOT WORK AND APPLE KNOWS IT!

    For several months now this movie hasn’t played properly. The movie stutters, glitches out, plays at half speed. This happened across multiple devices at multiple locations and on different accounts. It’s not isolated. I then contacted Apple regarding this issue and they confirmed that it is indeed broken. They gave me three free rentals for bringing it to their attention, but even still, several weeks later the movie DOES NOT WORK! They just put this movie on sale in multiple movie bundles. They continue to sell it, push it, and even put it on sale when it DOES NOT WORK The unrated version of the movie (which is stupidly neither in 4K nor included in this version) does work, but it is only HD.

  • Problem with 4K Dolby upgrade.

    This movie has now been upgraded to 4K Dolby Vision/Atmos but I noticed a major playback problem with the movie. It’s very choppy and skippy and it’s not playing smooth at all. I’m not sure what the technical term for what’s happening, but it almost looks like the frame rate is out of sync of massively dropped. I hope to see the movie get fixed ASAP. P.S. This is also happened with the movie “Swiss Army Man” where the movie was playing back out of sync with the audio and video and kind of choppy and it has now been completely fixed. For that reason, I have confidence Apple will take care of this problem as well.

    Step brothers is stupid, absurd and silly in the best possible way. Will Ferrel and John C Riley are amazing together and riff off each other to lower the bar. This is not a sophisticated movie. Not unless you count the artistic prowess of two geniuses working craft to make you laugh at the utterly stupid and immature humor that would make your mother in law think less of you. I’m done calling it a guilty pleasure because I don’t feel guilty at all.
