    What a dark movie. People died horribly, burning and screaming in lava and fire. I cannot think of a more horrifying demise, and in the end of the movie they use jovial Randy Newman music. Poor taste. Bad characters protected in plot armor while good characters died in terrifyingly horrible agony. This movie left me disturbed for years after watching it.

    This movie is great! Tommy Lee Jones is an incredible actor and he plays the main character extremely well! The special effects are really cool and the plot is somewhat ridiculous but realistic at the same time. If you want a movie to just sit back and enjoy, but at the same time have you on the edge of your seat the whole time, this is the movie for you!
