I'm typically not one for westerns, but this is a great movie. Great storyline and performance by the whole cast.

One of his best Westerns!!! Amazing performance from Elvis. This movie shows how a family should stick together no matter what race you are!! I recomend this movies to anyone! Not alot of singing, but real good acting.

I love (almost) all Elvis movies, but most really on Elvis's charisma and charm. This was a movie that Elvis wanted to make because he loved westerns, wanted to act, and wanted a great director. Don Siegel (Dirty Harry) did a great job in this western made towards the tail end of the Age of Westerns in Hollywood. It's a very enjoyable western, a great movie for Elvis fans, and a tantalizing glimpse of what Elvis could have left as a screen legacy if he had as much control over his movie career as he did his musical career (on recrords anyway). This is not a shot at the fun popcorn formula movies that were the safest bets in Hollywood for much of the sixties; I love them for what they are. I do regret that Elvis's movie career stopped when the culture of the 50s and early 60s gave way to the movies of the 60s and 70s. Like his music during the latter time, Elvis would not have had the self-appointed elite spokesmen on his side, but he would have turned out some great Elvis movies just as he turned out some singular Elvis songs. I believe there would have been a few "Suspicious Minds" movies that no one else could have made. But I'm still grateful for what Elvis left. This is a good one.

Strong performance by Elvis in a dramatic, not-so-musical film (a Western), whererin Elvis plays a half-white, half-Kiowa Indian man. The famous Andy Warhol print of Elvis holding a gun comes from this film. Directed by Don Siegel (Dirty Harry Series), this is a credible outing for Presley, proof that he could act, and worlds away from some of the lightsome dreck that oft-times stigmatized his film career. Recommended!
