I don't get it.. movie with good actors, action stars and solid performers. Then this one nobody that has the facial acting range of a rock, zero voice acting and yet narrates the whole movie with cursing that completely breaks the continuity of the movie. It was distracting and riduculous that he had the main role. I would have thought it would be one of the other well-known blockbuster actors. But they brought an unknown into the film and basically ruined it. Other than that, the movie was pretty good. Decent action until the "mr. punch" guy started fighting... again, gifted action stars and then someone that can only brawl? I don't get this at all.

Grew up watching old Kung Fu movies. This was pretty but irrelevant, useless in entertainment values in some ways and loaded with too much bad dialogue and lazy acting to forgive. The total lack of chemistry between the actors made this feel like a wasted trip to nowhere. Hey I have an idea (the producer says), lets get some great actors together, stick them in silly costumes and make a little money. Save your brain cells and watch Ice Pirates, you’ll get more laughs!

They used way more blood than was suppose to be used. The story line had nothing to do with iron fists til the end of the movie, and that only lasted a few moments! So, for me, anybody that is wanting to watch this movie..... Don't!! I should have shut it off after the first ten minutes!!!!
  • Tarantino needs to apologize...

I wanted to like it. I tried to like it. Couldn't…it's pretty bad, even if you want to see a cheesy kung fu movie. I was hoping for some of Tarantino's brilliant quirkiness, but it never surfaced. This was painful watching, my mind started to wander.

If your not a fan of martial arts or Kung fu why waste your money watching this. I my self loved this movie lots of action in it.

I used to watch Kung Fu Theater and all of those shows that would come on in the middle of the night, that I have read some reviews on here trying to compare this movie to. While there may have been half of a plot here, the only two cool things about the entire movie was the iron fists and the bronze covered man. The fighting was pretty lame and there were so many plot holes or really pathetic scenes that it was hard to watch at times. If you want a Kung Fu comedy, watch "Kung Fu Hustle" where the fights scenes are at least done well and there isn't cheesy Tarintino wanna be editing. The overuse of split screen edits was just destructive to the film. Where did they find all of those slobs for actors? Did they go to a Chinese homeless shelter and sign the bums up for work? I'm surprised Russell Crowe would have anything to do with this film, to be honest. If you are actually looking for a film that has a great story and is a really great example of the power of Kung Fu, I highly recommend BUYING "IP Man", "IP MAN 2", "Fist of Legend", "Fearless", or "Hero" -- You can also see a really great movie called "13 Assassins", or if you want to see the best Japanese trilogy ever made, BUY ALL THREE "Samurai" movies. RZA has no business directing or writing a film - he should have brought his concept to a real writer, then hired a real Kung Fu director and attached some great talent such as TONY JA - If you don't know who Tony is, you don't have any business leaving a review on here yourself.

This movie has got to be one of the worst I have ever seen. It was badly acted, poorly, and I do mean poorly directed. There wasn't any cohesiveness to the story or the acting. The soundtrack did not fit at all, nor did Rza's narrative of what was happening, and his foul language was not necessary. I guess Rza felt that cussing and rap music would add "punch" to the movie. Perhaps if the movie was directed by someone else, the storyline re-worked and get a real actor to play Rza's part, it would have probably been a real good movie. I grew up watching the movies done by the Shaw Brothers, oh they may have been corny at times, but they were entertaining.
