It wasn't what I expected at all. A fairly decent plot, but need to be drinking to really like it.

I really really awesome movie! The main story was direct, the twists and turns of the characters was even better. I like how it was not over dramatic with its true love scenes about the Blacksmith and Lady Silk and not all of the fight happens at once. It is spaced out through out the entire movie. I am not fond of all the rap music but that can be easily ignored ^_^
  • Could not stay focused on this one.....

I don't know who thought this one up but the action wasn't even that great either. I really only wanted to rent this but it was never available to rent. Buy at your own risk....lol.

After so many negative reactions and mix reviews, this is another movie that 1) makes sense, 2)Is a take on 1970's Kung Fu movies, and 3) Honors global culture. Purists may see many flaws, and it is no modern Hong Kong martial art master piece, but it is a very good American's take on Hong Kong Imports. It's hard to direct and play in a movie, so for RZA this is a great accomplishment in itself. Now, RZA has to find more projects to grow and hopefully show he can direct other kinds of concepts... whether high-brow or low.

The point of this movie is classic "Tarrentino" as he recreates the 80's kingfu genre. If that is not what you appreciate or can try to appreciate then go on without misleading others with misguided reviews... Great movie!!!!
