Description

To find peace after a long and bloody war, two kings declared a large piece of desert, the Yellow Belt, neutral territory, which neither king can claim. But when it is discovered that there is oil in the Yellow Belt, one king breaks the peace treaty and begins drilling for oil. Now, the kings are at war again and it is up to a young prince to find a way to bring peace, and prosperity, to the land.

    The reviews on various retailers have to be rigged, because all of the critics pretty much hate this film, as did I. First off, I am a fan of Tahar Rahim and also really appreciate the work of Antonio Banderas, yet I found this film to be awful. I cannot stand watching a film where culture plays such a significant role, yet the director casts people who are completely wrong for the parts, not to mention do not fit the role culturally in any way shape or form. That element alone is completely distracting and just plain sloppy. This film was obviously 'trying' to be a big box office smash hit by casting 'name' stars who do not fit their roles at all. I couldn't get past the first 20 minutes of the film even though I tried twice to give it a chance.
