Description

Bruce Willis, Halle Berry and Damon Wayons star in this action-packed mystery about a demoralized private detective, a washed-up ex-football star and the stripper who binds them together. Somewhere in Los Angeles, the city of broken dreams, a stripper (Halle Berry) is murdered. Now the private detective (Willis) she had hired and her ex-footballer boyfriend (Wayans) are going to find her muderer ... if they don't kill each other first. But the more they dig, the deeper they become enmeshed in a web of extortion, blackmail and corrupt politics hidden beneath the surface of professional football.

Its not the best writing, but the cast and the directing/cinemotography/editing are good. Its a fun action movie, classic for the time period.
  • If it was twice as good, it would still be garbage

Once in a while, a movie gets absolutely everything wrong. That's The Last Boy Scout. And I say that as a Bruce Willis fan. An idiotic plot, terrible editing, dialogue a fifth grader would be ashamed to write, and not a single believable character, reaction, or event. Not even the explosions are any good. I rented this film while recovering from surgery, hoping for nothing more than a little distraction. After five tries and 45 minutes of excruciatingly boring nonsense, I'm giving up. Maybe I've seen worse movies – thank goodness they haven't stayed in my memory.

Thrilling action beautifully directed by Tony Scott....a to-the-point story that actually has you invested...and a great leading Willis all make for a good movie but what makes this movie GREAT is the duo of Willis and Wayans and the chemistry they share together....i know your thinking that a pairing like that is a DISASTER for an action movie but let me tell you it is the complete opposite...the duo is the main reason the movie flows so well....so i say buy this movie because you surely wont be dissapointed

Honestly I love this. Perfect action for the era with as many cheesy punch lines as you can squeeze in. Second only to Die Hard
