I’ve just recently started getting into Bollywood films, and so far this is my absolute FAVORITE (along with DDLJ). Big fan of SRK and Kajol, but honestly I really love all six of the stars. The songs are great - I listen to them all the time. And the chemistry between the characters is great. Even though the movie is 3.5 hours long I never get bored watching it. Bollywood films have this charisma that American films just don’t have - they are so lively and fun and engaging. LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie.

This has been my favorite movie since I was a little boy. This has helped me bring together my broken family which resulted after I refused arranged marriage.

I do enjoy Bollywood movies as non-Indian as I am!! I watched this movie twice and a few times had to wipe my eyes too. You don't have to give birth to a child to love them and thank God for the power of forgiveness. Well done and very beautiful story
  • Epic . . . Literally.

At 3.5 hours, this film requires snacks and a couple of bathroom breaks to make it through. It crosses, at times, into some of the silliness of HR and KK films like Mujhse Dosti Karoge and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, but the humor and silliness truly is needed to balance out the heavier elements. SRK and HR really shine together in this film. Somehow, even though it is already 3.5 hours long, it still felt like the ending was rushed, because the reconciliation and resolution all go down literally in the last 5 minutes. . . . but that's Bollywood for you - three hours of melodrama, twenty-five minutes of silly musical numbers, and five minutes of plot resolution and the moral of the story.
