The beginning almost lost me, starts slow, but it gets way better. Sad story but good movie.

I watched this movie to beat time. But it turned out one of the best choices I have made. This move keeps tension solid till the last moment, and even beyond. A Class.

I guess they ran out of time because I did not understand what happened. For a simple mortal like me was a waste of Berenice Bejo, and how she can fall in love with two losers. Typical French movie with a lot of silence an irrelevant scenes.

Nuanced performances, very real and tender edges that cut everyone as the story makes it threading way through the cast of characters. Unwind the ball of string, the memories and emotions of several relationships, layers of pain and guilt that make families so difficult and love so inconsistent. Masterful control by the director.
