Description

Fifteen year old Adam McCormick's life hasn't been the same since classmate Gracie Highsmith found Jamie Marks’s dead body at the edge of the river. The town is shocked, but as speculation swirls, it becomes clear that they knew as little about Jamie as they do about the circumstances surrounding his death. Adam becomes fixated on Jamie's death and gradually a deep bond develops between the living teenager and the dead boy's ghost. Their unlikely friendship provides Adam with the support and friendship he needs as the rest of the world falls apart. But the more attached Adam becomes to Jamie's ghost, the weaker his ties to reality become. As he struggles with the real world relationships, Adam is forced to rediscover what it means to be alive.

I was surprised at how good this movie was. Really glad I rented it. It sends a very important message on many levels. The cast was excellent, especially the two lead actors. Noah Silver (as Jamie Marks) was incredibly good.

I found this film to be absolutely dreadful. Since when did it become acceptable for actors to mumble? To add insult to injury there was no option for closed captioning. I really wanted to like this film and found it utterly disappointing.

Didn’t know what to expect from this film but I enjoyed the unique story. Love Cameron Monaghan from Shameless and he’s good here too!

it's kind of an indie-Sixth Sense - in a bad way though. Without going into details about why this flick is not working, in the end it all comes down to one simple thing: it's boring as hell. What impressed me (besides the soso natural acting by Morgan Saylor) was how Carter Smith was able to pull off a talking ghost without slipping into complete silliness. It's just a little silly - but very dull.

Honestly, don't bother if you are seeking out a bloody scare. This ghost movie is more about profound loneliness and the haunting need to be known and remembered.

Don't get your panties in a twist over this. No one is responsible for how you feel, but yourself. Yes, iTunes puts out there movies to buy/own, usually while the film is simultaneously in theaters. Eventually, a rental price is added to the tag (albeit an over-priced rental tag. Predictably, as time passes, that rental price drops to the 'average' cost of a rented film. Hence, a film's 'Circle of Life'. You don't like it? You think the price is too extravagant? So do most others. Next time, do yourself a favor and WAIT. Wait for the film to exit theaters. Wait for the rental price to drop to your acceptable range. Most importantly, do not classify a film as a certain genre based solely on its jacket. Unsure if a film is a thriller/horror? Read the reviews to get an idea. By simply taking one of the above suggestions into consideration, your blood pressure will lower significantly.
  • A bittersweet story of regret, loss, and redemption

This film succeeds in many ways; it tells a unique story that is haunting and relatable. There is always that one person we wish we would have spoken to, perhaps changing their life in ways we could not have ever anticipated, and seeing this scenario play out in this movie was as sad as it was uplifting. At times scary, and other times suspenseful, the subject matter is a very serious thing, and it could not have been handled in a more thoughtful manner. There are too many lives lost at the hands of bullying, and I hope that this film helps people see just how their actions and words might negatively affect those around them. As llid effort by a very talented cast. These teens are really a very special group of actors, and I hope to see them again soon.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!! People this is not a thriller,or horror,it's like grinding nals down a chalk board. ITUNES LISTEN CAREFULLY, THIS AND MANY OTHER MOVIES ARE NOT STILL IN THEATERS! YOU CAN"T BE HURTING FOR MONEY THAT BAD.I will go elsewhere from now on. Who has that kind of money, unless your retired. MAKE MOVIES4RENT AR NORMAL PRICE AFTER IT HITS THE MOVIES!WHAT A CONCEPT! I purchase many films and music, and i know gary marshall, the director of many and this is just charging 33% on a chace card. Ok i"m done venting.Whatever do not let kids of this age in the movie watch this, kind of ironic don't you think?
