Description

    This show used to be incredible and full of crazy plots, now its just about this girl who is having an inner conflict, paige is my least favorite character in any show I've seen. Her lines are terrible and are delivered terribly. No one wants to watch someone act like that. This show became cheesy.

    Every episode of this show continues to surprise. The ability of both Keri Russell as Elizabeth Jennings (AKA Nadezhda) and Matthew Rhys as Philip Jennings (AKA Mischa), both Russian KGB officers... to slip in and out of their "fake" American lives in 'regular' clothing TO spy-craft scenarios, each with it's own sub-plot (and endless disguises!)....is just short of amazing. Cudos to the Production Designers for making each 'sub-story' uniquely believable. Still having flashbacks to many of the unfortunate '80's fashion tendencies! Great show with excellent character development and oft unanticipated twists in every season's individual installments!

  • Season 5, 10th Episode is messed up

    Not a critique on the show, but on Apple. Can't play the 10th episode of season 5. Sound and video are out of sync. Have deleted and downloaded it 5 times now. Doesn't play in the QuickTime player app either. This is the 9th issue I've had with iTunes media and transactions this year. What is wrong with Apple? This used to be such a good product and now it's crap. Did you offshore the software to the lowest bidder? TIme to switch to Amazon Prime!

    This is what all TV ought to be: entertaining, thought-provoking, and quality. "The Americans" blends nostalgia for the 1980s with the real-life, political intrigue that marked the uncertain times of the final years of the Cold War era.
