Description

An aging comic icon, Jackie (Robert De Niro) has seen better days.a Despite his efforts to reinvent himself and his comic genius, the audience only wants to know him as the former television character he once played.a Already a strain on his younger brother (Danny DeVito) and his wife (Patti LuPone), Jackie is forced to serve out a sentence doing community service for accosting an audience member. While there, he meets Harmony (Leslie Mann), the daughter of a sleazy Florida real estate mogul (Harvey Keitel), and the two find inspiration in one another resulting in surprising consequences.

  • Suprisingly funny and vulgar

    I watched this with my family not know anything about it: seeing no previews and reading zero reviews. I laughed and hid my head and grimaced and laughed at scenes I didn't think I would laugh at. My whole family did. It's a great and unexpectedly fun experience. Robert De Niro, Danny Devito, Leslie Mann, and Patti LuPone, actually every single actor in it are spot on.

    I think Leslie Mann made the whole movie funny, with her squeaky sorta voice. Met a girl in college with a voice like her's. We quickly learned she was smart in C.S. so we held back any laugher So to get her input in study group.

    It isn't for everyone, which is part of its brilliance. I loved it! One of De Niro's best performances. Also, a great script!

    This isn't an Oscar buzz movie, but for what it's worth, it's a good story. The acting and writing makes for a very entertaining little movie. 4/5 stars.

    Whoever thinks RD is a has been hasn't seen- The Intern- Ellis- The big Wedding. Just a few he's always excellent. I'd like to see you act at an age when most people are in a rest home or dead! He is and always will be a class act. ⭐️👍👌. Here's to you Scallawag 😜. Rent the movies above and see he's not always a bad guy but funny as hell. 😎😀
