Description

Fred Savage (TV's "The Wonder Years") and Bonnie Bedelia ("Presumed Innocent," "Die Hard") star in a heartwarming story about the special friendship between two teenagers struggling to adjust to life after each suffers a great loss. A splendid supporting cast -- including TV heartthrob Jason Priestley ("Beverly Hills, 90210"), Emmy-winner Colleen Dewhurst ("Murphy Brown"), Fred Gwynne ("My Cousin Vinny") and Academy Award-winner Louise Fletcher ("The Cheap Detective," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest") -- rounds out this story of belief in the impossible and in the magical. A wonderful film for the whole family.

What a great movie. So glad iTunes has it, I remember this being released when I was in high school. Brings back many memories. A very hear-warming story about a kid suffering loss and wishing something so badly. Makes you wonder if wishes do come true when you want them to so badly. The iTunes synopsis is incorrect. The main star (the boy who could fly) is NOT played by Fred Savage. It's played by Jay Underwood. If you enjoy things a little out of the ordinary with a touch of fantasy, you will enjoy this family movie. Each family will need to decide if it's for them, but we watched it when me and my sister were in high school back in the day, and our entire family loved it. Shows the innocence of youth and the impact bullying can have on teenagers. Highly recommend!
