"Bridget Fonda is pure dynamite" (WWOR-TV) as a murderous misfit reprogrammed as a high-tech assassin. Gabriel Byrne and Anne Bancroft co-star in "one of the top thrillers of the year" (ABC Radio Network).

So beautifully made, you can tell the soundtrack was created by someone who really loves music. It’s a beautiful story.

    Good, but Nikita is better.
  • Truly one of my most favorite movies ever!

I loved Bridget and Gabriel in this and the story was well done. I liked the locations too. The movie isn't sappy, had just enough intrigue - yet stays away from conspiracy theories (the government is behind everything…), and has surprises. Bridget Fonda gave one of her best performances ever - her character required so much range. If you're looking for a fun movie, this is it. Skip all the critical thinking of just how "realistic" it isn't - and just enjoy the ride.
  • An OK Remake

Although I think Bridget is very sexy, the original film was much better.
  • STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this director cannot direct action to save his life....and yes!!! lets also throw in a cliche'd spy story you've seen 10000000000000000000 times as well

Simply put, Bridget Fonda is at her lifetime best in this film. Like Easy Rider was to Peter, Bridget is better here than her small wonderful bit in Godfather III, in this, she shines as an definitive Hollywood A List actress. Gabriel Byrne was best in Stigmata, but turns in a great performance. Anne Bancroft is best known certainly for Mrs. Robinson, but in my mind her best work was seen in G.I Jane. Yet, here Anne does magnificently. This movie is as good as John Badhams best as a Director. A must have for my iTunes library; perhaps, yours.
  • Great remake

I didnt think this one when i went to see it in the theatres it was gonna be good at all. Remakes most time disappoint you on so many levels that you just hate going to them. but every know and then one does a good job. As a fan of the La Femme Nikita this one didnt dissapoint me at all. although i still like the origenal better this one was very good also

This movie rocked!!! Anyone who gives it less than five stars doesn't know a good movie when they see one. Fonda was killer!! Literally î„…

This very sad version is based off the 1990 Nikita (or La Femme Nikita) by Luc Besson and starring Anne Parillaud. Jean Reno debuts his character “the cleaner” which was successfully fleshed out into “The Professional” (or Leon). I suggest iTunes to obtain the original French version (and the soundtrack!). If I could also suggest that iTunes would obtain the subtitled version as the dubbed version is just horrible.
