Not the best Star Trek movie but a great Star Trek movie.

....I really hated it when they redid a scene from The Wrath Of Khan. I lost all the respect for the movie at that point. Why did they have to borrow a villain from a previous movie? And borrow a scene from The Wrath of Khan with the same action and dialogue just spoken by different characters? I don’t understand why they felt the need to do this. I prefer Ricardo Montalban’s Khan than to this one. Fortunately, the next film was much better.

Why are we getting a “reimagined” Star Trek II. Top notch acting, but a giant step backwards for the new films. Lots of pointless fan service. Rehashing a good chunk of the classic movie, “Wrath of Khan”. It’s a good movie to watch, but the one star is for lack of anything new or different. This movie is Star Trek in name only.
  • No! Why the same sleek actors!

The newer actors have higher pitched voices as well. The old actors were bigger and better and more mature. The old Spock had a deep voice. It's a little better than the 2009 film. I don't like the shiny radiant glossy graphics. Artistically painted nebulae and stars. White buildings. Why white and not silver, gray, and black? Star Trek should be mature like Deep Space 9.
