Mother! is the new film written and directed by Darren Aronofsky who directed such films like (Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, Noah, Black Swan and The Fountain) and now Darren Aronofsky directes Mother! a film so complex, well-written and incredibly well acted. Mother! has disturbing subject matter and definitley i don't recommend this film made me sick. Jennifer Lawrence plays the titled character named Mother she lives with his husband Him (Javier Bardem) who is a writter then strange people come upon Mother's house and starts creating chaos and sue. What made me so sick was the (Spolier alert) disturbing images and strange violence that is present in the film. Although with Aronofsky's Requiem for a Dream that film showed how terrible life can be in a matter of seconds and that character study and disturbing drug content really made Requiem so disturbing and really depressing at some times. Mother! may be the most depressing thrillers of the year but there were a lot of controversy upon this film so Paramount didn't want to release the film because it was so disturbing and audiences had no idea what was happening but i did. I don't enjoy films like these but some work but the meaning of Mother! is pretty simple the meaning behind Mother! is mother nature herself, the bible, Victorian Literature, Climate Change for the point of view of Mother! and that premise is smart and both geniune for a controvesal thriller. I know that Darren Aronofsky gone too far with Mother! but that's not his fault his direction and cinematopgraphy is fantastic. I stood there in awe wondering what was Darren Aronofsky thinking! in some cultural asepct in my opinion Mother! is not something you should see or even a mother that is expecting her first child will give a mother nightmares and not want to have a child but this film looks beautiful, well shot and the acting is incredible! Even after i saw Mother! i was rooting for more, Mother is believeval and it's not just a jump scare stupid Hollywood horror film. It's a movie that is not a horror film but has a mind of it's own and Mother! is similar to Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby because i see what Darren Aronofsky got this inspiration came from into making a deep deep movie. Either way i don't recommed Mother! because it's something you should not see alone or with a girfriend if you ask me.

I watched this movie completely without any knowledge of what it’s about other than it’s a movie with horror themes starring Jennifer Lawrence, and it turned out to be one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my life! What a journey! You’re way better off seeing this without seeing any trailers or reading about its symbolisms. It will blow your mind scene after scene with an ever-changing twisted story, incredible cinematography and direction and one of Lawrence’s best performances to date.

This movie is called art which gives it way more credit than it deserves. This has about as much art in it as a comedian smashing fruit with giant hammer. It offers no subtlety in its allegory and like most of Hollywood today, offers nothing but a cynical look at humanity and religion. Once again, the only safe religion to go after without the PC police rioting and being outraged is Christianity. If you’re a self important moron (like the director) who spends $10 on avocado toast and has a savings rate of near zero, you’ll probably enjoy this movie. For the rest of the population who respects their own time and money, don’t waste either on this trash. I’m sorry I can’t get mine back.

Save your time and energy and do watch this movie. The story was absolutely bonkers, nothing made sense and there’s just a lot of pain and suffering for Jens character. Not scary, not a thriller just a sad movie.

This movie was complete trash and disgusting. It’s not art but some sick f-ed up director who thought ripping a baby into pieces was symbolic. It’s a shame too as I really did like the actors/actresses but after seeing this and they willingly signed up for this horrendous movie, I no longer look at them the same way. The positive reviews are a joke. Yeah, I get what it was supposed to represent but doesn’t make this movie any better. Such pretentiousness from both the director and fans of the movie. 🙄
