The movie starts off great with a great concept but then it turns political and depressing stopped watching in the middle

So the 7th movie of Alexander Payne has a great start as a regular Alexander Payne movie but it somehow descends after the downsizing itself, maybe if it was not a Sci-fi it could have done better in terms of story. It is not a bad movie if you are a fan of the genius director but if you are a person unfamiliar with his work then it is a waste of your time...

This film did have a cheesiness quality to it. You would think they would let the married couple (Paul & Audrey) experience the downsizing together, but that’s what gets the story in motion. The accents were hard to follow, and the speaking was fast. The story goes along and when he makes friends with his upstairs neighbor from a party, a housekeeper becomes a main character and there is travel to another country, thats when it gets boring for me. I was able to watch it to the end so that’s why I gave it ⭐️⭐️. I would have given it 3 stars if it wasn’t for the inaudible accents of the other characters.

Worst movie I have seen in quite a long time. It was preachy, and the acting was beyond subpar. Sick of movies that try to push a political agenda. I just want to enjoy myself for an hour or two without getting pulled into a guilt trip for being middle-class and non-minority. Matt Damon is yet another one of those preachy actors that continuously tries forcing his political beliefs down your throat. I will not see another Matt Damon movie after this. Horrible, horrible, horrible!
  • Critics don’t understand the cinema world!

First the movie was great! Understanding every movie has its purpose. This movie has to be understood for what type of movie you are watching. For every pair of eyes, there is a different perspective. Unfortunately for the people that watched the movie didn’t understand the purpose of the movie and why it was made great to watch. If you didn’t like the movie then you are either a bad critic or don’t understand the art of a movie. Critics that hated the movie are most likely not a movie producer and trying be like one or can’t see the picture for what it is. So remember what type or style of movie you are watching and you will see the hard work and art it took to make it and the story. Great movie!

Is this a movie about a guy shrinking himself to live in a tiny resort world? Is this a movie about how humans are bad for the planet? Is this a movie about a normal guy who travels to the seedy part of tiny resort world to build a maid a prostetic leg? The answer is yes to all of them. This movie wasn't funny, wasn't interesting, and wasn't good. I normally like Matt Damon but this concept was so stupid and the execution was worse. Watch the trailer and make up your own ending and you will be 1,000 times better off.
