    The fact that Sharon Stone is billed second to Michael Douglas is besides me, as Sharon clearly is the star of the film. He does nothing, and could never ever compete w the queen that Sharon is!

    There are two films that seemed designed to scare men with wandering imaginations back to the straight and narrow: Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct. This film is a truly excellent nuveau-Hitchcock thriller that brilliantly builds and builds, right up to the final second. I watched it once, and that was enough for me. I promise to behave myself from now on.

    The timing in this movie is impeccable. The scenes, between takes, are timed well - there's enough time for you to "feel" what the characters are feeling. There's dark humor and as everyone knows about humor it's about timing. The editing is perfect. In every scene you can literally see the characters become introspective and put two and two together to form their own conclusions. A must-see for any film buff interested in learning how to develop their own movies!
