A classic for sure

I saw reviews that said this was the scariest movie ever made and while it was a great movie, it’s not scary in 2020. It’s definitely a classic and fun to watch but we need a 2020 version.

I saw this when it was on TV way back when over like 3 nights scared the crap out of me back then fast forward like 40 years still just as creepy one of my all time favorite Horrors

Pleased to report it is as scary as it was when I watched it as an 8 year old kid in 1979. I don't think anyone who didnt experience it at the time can convey how truly horrifying and iconic it was. EVERY kid oin school the next day was taling about the boy floating outside the winodw. No one expected a TV movie to be like this.

This movie creeped me out years ago when it first came out. The vampires are nice and creepy with awesome eyes. Engaging from beginning to end!

This is the 3-hour version of a TV mini-series. It's very long and slow to develop - I fell asleep numerous times. There are a few creepy moments, but you can watch these on YouTube rather than suffering through 3 hours of this. Also the characters are all thin such that you don't really care about any of them.

This put Stephen King on the map and sent his book sales through the roof. It's a good TV horror movie, which originally aired as a two-part miniseries. At the end of part one, when the windows open it's truly scary (at least it was by 1970's standards). Unfortunately, most of the movie adaptions of his books have not been spectacular, including the original version of It (although the remake is much better). If you think the 'Salem's Lot miniseries is good, read the book. It is the scariest book I ever read in my life (and it has been over forty years since I've read it). You keep turning the pages in a futile attempt to make the bad things go away. But they don't.

So much better than any of its sad sister remakes or sequels, this miniseries is a run for your life down memory lane. Well done movie gurus @ iTunes, this is a classic!
