Directed by Academy Award-winning director Vincente Minnelli ("An American in Paris," "Gigi") and produced by Academy Award-recipient Pandro S. Berman ("Ivanhoe," "Top Hat"). Nominated for Best Picture and Screenplay, this hilarious look at family chaos spawned a sequel. Although remade in 1991 with Steve Martin and Diane Keaton, this classic is considered by many as the best.

    Why can’t Americans download the Steve Martin Version of this classic? It’s available in the Australian ITUNES store (didn’t know that even existed - thought there was just one global store), but they just switch you back to the US ITUNES store. Nothing against the original, but when you look at the number of bad movies available on ITUNES shouldn’t a movie with overwhelmingly positive critical acclaim be offered?

    I actually like this movie and the Steve Martin one. I especially like this one cuz I am a huge fan of classic black and white movies. And there is just something about Spencer Tracy. Great movie! You won't be disappointed!
